15/09/11 - A surprise from Jean!

Today Jean Thorpe brought in a Nightjar which she had been looking after, it was found on a boat sailing from Finland to Hull. It hadn’t eaten or had a drink in three days but Jean nursed it back to health before bringing it in to Bank Island to be ringed. It was released into mixed woodland with pasture and conifer plantation near Birdsall, Malton. Great job Jean!
